Dr. Reid was raised in Richmond, and he feels fortunate to be back living and working in his hometown. He has made it a priority to contribute to the community by volunteering on hospital committees, teaching medical students and providing reconstructive/emergency plastic surgery.
In his role as a plastic surgeon within the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Dr. Reid enjoys providing essential reconstructive surgery services to the community. Areas of interest include breast reconstruction, hand surgery and the treatment of melanoma and other skin cancers.

Education
Dr. Reid has trained specifically in plastic surgery. He completed medical school with honors at the University of British Columbia prior to receiving training in surgery of the breast and body.
Experience
Dr. Reid is an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon. He frequently attends conferences relating to reconstructive and cosmetic surgery while maintaining an active interest in post-weight loss surgery.
Our local hospital relies on a dedicated group of administrative and physician leaders to ensure timely access to quality care. Since July 2009, Dr. Reid has been an active member of the leadership team at the Richmond Hospital. He has held multiple positions, including Credentials Committee member, Co-Chief of the Outpatient Department and Clinical Program Manager for the Department of Surgery. As a member of the BC Patient Safety and Quality Council, Dr. Reid has an interest in quality improvement projects and he was the first Surgeon Champion at the Richmond Hospital for the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP). Dr. Reid intends to be an active and productive member of the hospital staff throughout his career.
